Disney has been hard at work on their newest attractions, including the upcoming Star Wars Land, but now fans have two new worlds to visit: the “Pandora: The World of Avatar” and “Galaxy of the Guardians” attractions are opening this weekend!
The “Guardians of the Galaxy”-based attraction at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and the “Avatar” land at Walt Disney World resort in Florida are both officially opening their doors to the public this weekend.
Some of the most awaited attractions include “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!”, where visitors explore a warehouse-type fortress owned by the mysterious collector Tanaleer Tivan, who has who imprisoned the Guardians of the Galaxy. Yet, Rocket Raccoon has escaped who calls on the help of guests to free the rest of the Guardians trapped in glass cases.
Guests can also check out Tanaleer Tivan’s museum of artifacts such as fauna, relics and species collected from all over the universe.
Meanwhile, at Pandora, highlights of the park include the Na’vi River Journey ride, where guests can ride down the sacred river hidden within a bioluminescent rainforest, and meet a Na-vi Shaman.
