Dick Gordon posted his view regarding the LGBT via his Facebook page.
He said:
I’m not going to claim to be an expert on LGBT issues, but I have gay staff members and I listen to them. One of them raised a rather interesting point, he said: “Why is it that homosexual relationships are always associated with ‘desires of the flesh’? Anyone who’s ever been in a relationship, straight or gay, knows that the desires of the flesh fade soon enough. We all have to put up with our partner’s disgusting habits, food preferences and demands on our time and energy. Let’s not confuse a hook-up with a relationship, or reality with a porn film.” I thought it was a VALID point.

A few days ago, boxing icon and senatorial candidate Manny Pacquiao uttered a harsh statement about same-sex marriage, saying, “mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao.” His statement gained a lot of backlash, which he apologized for afterwards.
Gordon’s statement could be in relation to this hot topic regarding same-sex marriage and the LGBT community.
Gordon is seeking a senate comeback under Bagumbayan Party.
Gordon ran for president in 2010 but was defeated by President Benigno Aquino III. He was the chairman of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority from 1992 to 1998 and served as a senator from 2004 to 2010.
