If someone asks you, what’s the most popular donut brand in the Philippines, only one brand comes to mind, it’s definitely Dunkin Donuts! 

When in Manila,  you would notice how popular Dunkin Donuts brand is. It’s like every city you visit, there’s more than one Dunkin Donuts store strategically placed in the most busiest streets to cater to all walks of life.  I can actually remember last year when we went to Cagayan De Oro and Iligan City, Dunkin Donuts are everywhere!  And people usually flocked at these stores to grab something for their breakfast and merienda. A boss of mine actually told me that Dunkin Donuts are very popular in the east coast and South coast of the States, which is a very interesting fact. Whenever she visits Manila, she always look for a Dunkin Donut branch to go get her coffee!  Sounds so awesome!

Dunkin Donuts is the world’s  leading donuts, coffee and baked goods chain, with over 2,600 stores in more than 30 countries around the world.  In  1981,  Golden donuts Inc. opened it’s first Dunkin Dounts in the Philippines, and has since expanded to become the largest donut chain.

I was very privileged and very honored for I was chosen to write about the Dunkin Donuts event last Tuesday. I grabbed the opportunity because for one,  Dunkin Donuts have been a favorite of mine since I was a toddler.  And second, I wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity of meeting the Prince Charming of my dreams (just in my dreams), the brand endorser of Dunkin Donuts, Mr. Derek Ramsay.

There’s a special place in my heart for Dunkin’ Donuts, and it has been a constant companion through many occasions – as a child, as a student, through heartaches, and yes, even on Valentine’s Day. In fact, whoever is with me has to enjoy a bite too.   There is a comforting simplicity to the Dunkin’ Donuts Classics that keeps me coming back for more. This Valentine’s, Derek suggests that instead of taking your date to a fancy restaurant, why not simply cook for her?
