When In Manila skateboarding is alive and well as evidenced by the ever growing skateboard community that was present at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall last Sept 1, 2013 for the first stop of the DC South East Asia Tour 2013. After a successful launch party the night before at 7th High, the DC skateboarding team were now ready to showcase their talents and treat the thousands of Filipino fans who came to witness the skate demonstration, a display of world-class skateboarding never before seen here in the Philippines.
After a meet and greet and autograph signing of DC gear for the fans, the DC skate team rolled on over to the custom made park built inside SM Mall of Asia at the Music Hall eager to show their skills and give the fans a show they will never forget. The DC skate team on hand consisted of Cyril Jackson, Jake Hayes, Tommy Fynn, Matt Miller, Wes Kremer and ESPN Action Sports Athlete of the Year for 2013 Nyjah Huston. Nyjah posted on his Instagram account that this was the biggest turnout he has seen so far in his career. Just goes to show you that Filipino fans are some of the best in the world when it comes to showing support for their favourite stars and athletes.
