It seems the 41-year old football star is now venturing into films as he is set to appear in big Hollywood director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming action film, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. So yes, hence the make-up. Don’t get too excited, though. Beckham is said to only appear in a cameo role—as “Blackleg Leader” according to IMDB. The starring roles in the film are filled by Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law.
Ill tell you now so you won’t hate me later, but Beckham doesn’t actually show up in the trailer. That’s the surprise in cameo roles, right? They just show up from nowhere! But it still looks pretty awesome, so we suggest you still give it a watch here:
I guess we’ll have to watch the film ourselves if we want to see the football star on the silver screen. Good thing is, this looks like a kick-ass movie, and I personally can’t wait until it shows.
King Arthur hits the theaters on May 2017.
