As one of the measures to stop contractualization in the country, all Davao contractors must voluntarily comply with the necessary working arrangements, including the hiring of contractual employees, according to DOLE.
DOLE Davao Technical Services and Support Division head Paul Cruz said:
“We are appealing to the local principals to voluntarily comply and should not wait for inspection. If you have the time and you know that you are engaged in such practices, you have to comply,” Cruz said, addressing employers who are still practicing contractualization.
Duterte earlier said that companies should either just follow the law or they will face closure.
