No amount of rainfall can stop a heart on its quest for love.
This is what the recent speed dating event of Date Unlimited (www.DateUnlimited.net), the most liked speed dating event in the Philippines, has proven.
While Typhoon Maring was gathering its strength with steady downpour last Sunday night, August 18, single professionals also gathered the strength to make their own move towards the possibility of finding their special someone.
Thirty (30) single professionals including IT professionals, business owners, finance officers, doctors, accountants, a law student and some BPO professionals participated in Date Unlimited’s 5th speed dating event.
Held in an exclusive restaurant near Rockwell Center in Makati, the speed dating event started with an introduction from Stef, the lovely emcee last Sunday night. Amidst the goal of the event, the organizers reminded the participants that their chances of finding a potential partner through the speed dating event still depends on themselves. As the old saying goes, “your destiny is in your hands”.
With the special program prepared by the organizers, the event came out as a huge success. After a number of icebreakers, the participants felt more comfortable and familiar with each other. The participants’ most-awaited part of the speed dating went on through a rotation process, wherein ladies remain seated while the guys move from one table to another.
The room was filled with lovely smiles and hellos during the event. To everyone’s delight, even if the participants were only given 4 minutes to talk with each participants of the opposite gender, they had the chance to open up their self, interests and of course, to look for a common spark.
Participants answered forms containing names of the others. Under the names, they could either pick “Let’s keep in touch” or “Nice meeting you”. Participants will be informed of their matches via e-mail within 24-48 hours after the speed dating event.
In the end, everyone agreed that the speed dating event has been a fun, enjoyable and memorable experience.
Date Unlimited, an idea sparked through sweethearts Sam Sanchez and Nicole Mayo, is organized under the couple’s company: Sam and Nicole Events Management, a duly registered company under the Department of Trade and Industry. This coming September 1, 2013, Date Unlimited will be hosting its 6th speed dating event with the theme “Love in September” in Quezon City.
