Daniel Craig, who famously said that he’d “rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than play James Bond again, will be back to reprise his role in the next film in the franchise.

The actor confirmed the news in an interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. This will be his fifth Bond film after Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre. The next film will be quite important in the franchise as it will be the 25th Bond film.

Craig added that his portrayal in the film has been planned for the past few months and that this might be the last. He said, “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”

He also clarified his infamous glass and wrist statement, saying, “Instead of saying something with style and grace, I gave a really stupid answer,” before adding that he just wanted to take a break after filming Spectre.

No details have emerged on the title, director, and other cast of the 25th Bond film, but it has been announced that it will be released on November 8, 2019.
