The First of Smart Bro Trips: Conquer Sagada Together With Smart Bro and Travel Factor!

So. Sagada. It has become one of the top destinations for soul searching, for solo travel, naging lugar para sa mga sawi and for those na gusto makalimot. Blame it on the movie, That Thing Called Tadhana. Ever since the movie came out, it piqued the interest of travellers and adventurers… broken hearted people included. Sabi kasi ni Papa JM De Guzman, sinigaw niya yung lahat ng sakit sa Mt. Kiltepan. Hihi. Eto naman tayo, taking his advice.

If you are planning to go to Conquer Sagada anytime soon (Check this out for some Sagada basics: Sagada 101: Practical Guide on What to Do, What to Eat and Where to Stay!) , I suggest you go and book a trip with Travel Factor.

Why?

Because #1, Travel Factor is one of the major tour providers in the Philippines — with more than 80 destinations, international and local, in their roster! They have 7 years of experience arranging tours to boast of, so you are sure that you are very well taken care of.

and because # 2, ‘Cause Smart Bro has partnered with Travel Factor so you’ll always be connected no matter where you are! Wink wink. Now you can post and share those beach body pictures, panoramas of beautiful views and your bold adventures, anytime and anywhere.

I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of the group to try the first of the Smart Bro Trips, the first one being in Sagada.

It’s a year long partnership, with Smart providing SmartBro Pocket Wifi connection during the trips. Not only that, they will also give out  20% discounts for Smart Bro Prepaid Pocket WiFi owners. They already have a line up of trips and I heard the next one is in Baler!

Aint it great? You’re always connected anywhere when you go!

Participants who avail of the Smart Bro Trips will also be given a kit with travel essentials.

Here’s me with my Smart Bro Umbrella, included as part of the kit they gave out at the start of trip. Sobrang useful because we were battling the rains during the first day (and second day) of the tour.

By the way, I found the jeepney that Mace and Anthony boarded when they went to the Mt. Kiltepan campsite. Buti pa ang jeepney, nahanap ko, ang tadhana, hindi. Haha!

Part of the tour was a visit to the Sagada Pottery…

and a visit of the Entrances to Lumiang and Sumaguing Caves. We were not able to do the cave connection because of the rain (me sad 🙁 ), but all the more reasons for me to go back to Sagada with Travel Factor and SmartBro. I can post agad agad the pictures of my adventures inside the cave.

We also went to the Echo valley where Kuya Jory, our guide, told us that its called like that because if you try to shout in that valley, your voice will always echo back to you. Sabi ko, “Gosh, cue ko na ata ‘to mag emote.” I got scared though, I might get an echo different from what I shouted in the valley. 😛

Oh, and also the Hanging Coffins are located at one of the cliffs at the Echo valley. Fascinating! Imagine years of tradition and history.

We also get to marvel at the beauty of the Banaue Rice Terraces.

Got to take a picture with Kuya!

And I met some new friends along the trip who are as adventurous as I am! We tried doing the jeepney “top load”. YOLO.

Again, one of the perks of being always connected — You can add your new friends on Facebook on the spot!

Thank you SmartBro and Travel Factor for the awesome experience. Things might have not worked out the way it was planned, we missed a lot of things, crossed off some items in the itinerary because of unforseen circumstances (like the typhoon!) but I had a lot of fun! It’s definitely one for the books.
