Come Join the Party @ Sounds of Summer! With Parokya ni Edgar, Up Dharma Down, Silent Sanctuary, and More

Bringing together three of the top bands in the country to perform in one venue is such a tall order. But Pint 88 Resto Bar and Café will reach a milestone in Sto. Nino, Meycauayan, Bulacan for the first time! The event will happen in the grounds of Ema Town Center at the heart of Camalig, Meycauayan, Bulacan City on March 19, 2016. The show, entitled ‘SOUNDS OF SUMMER”, will feature no other than multi-awarded Silent Sanctuary, UP Dharma Down and Parokya ni Edgar.

Pint 88 takes pride in providing superb entertainment, unique and one-of-a-kind taste in food, quality service and hospitality rendered by their attendants to give that 101% overwhelming experience to those who will attend and participate in this momentous event.

Tegan and Sara live in Manila

First band to be featured in the show is UP Dharma Down, considered one of the most followed bands in the music scene. The band combines several music elements creating “a sound that is uniquely their own.” When asked to best describe Up Dharma Down’s music, most would just respond, “press play,” and listen. The song “Tadhana” featured in the soundtrack of the movie “That Thing Called Tadhana” is testament to the band’s style of music: haunting, emotional, powerful.

And here’s Silent Sanctuary. Through their music, the band hopes to provide their listeners a place where they can be one with their thoughts, a place where they can find comfort and strength. Experimenting on classical instruments to create their own unique sound, they came up with their signature “classical music meets rock music.” Their songs are bittersweet and yet hopeful.

Finally, the longest-running band in the country, Parokya ni Edgar. The band helped ignite Filipino Rock music in the 90s. Though adept at several musical genres, Parokya ni Edgar is most famous for their rock novelty songs and often satirical covers of famous songs. The band’s irreverent antics – injecting hilarious Tagalog lyrics into melodies – appealed to many Filipino fans. “Buloy,” “Picha Pie,” “Mr. Suave,” and “First Day Funk” are just some of the band’s long list of hit songs.

Putting together all those three great bands is indeed a tall order. But Pint 88 will serve that order. Not only will it serve great music, Pint 88 will serve delicious delectable food and drinks that night as well.
