The summer heat will be made even hotter and more fun as call center employees—of different ages and positions—gather again to show off their athletic abilities in the 8th Call Center Olympics. The Call Center Olympics or also known as the Colympics, will open on April 24, 2016 at the Meralco Fitness Center, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City. Featured sports include: men’s and women’s basketball, men and women’s volleyball, badminton doubles – men, women and mixed, soccer, mixed bowling, table tennis – men, women’s and mixed doubles, 9 ball billiards – men and women, chess, darts and 3 kilometer and 5 kilometer fun run. A Cheerdance Competition will also take place on July 31, 2016, also the Closing Ceremony of the Colympics.
Aside from providing room for recreation and socializing, the Colympics also aims to promote sportsmanship and camaraderie among the players in the Call Center and BPO industry. It is also a good venue for showcasing skills and abilities outside the realms of work.
