Moalboal is well-known for its nice beaches and rich marine life. I’ve always wanted to go, but my busy business schedule never let me. Recently, I had a chance to open up my schedule and go to Moalboal, though, as I had business to accompany me during the trip. So I got the perfect idea: enjoy Moalboal at day time, and do business at night. So I packed my bags, my laptop, and got on the next flight to Cebu.
Upon my search for a host in Moalboal, I found a place that’s perfect to accommodate all my needs: Club Serena Resort.
Once I arrived at Mactan airport in Cebu, a car was waiting for me to drive me to Moalboal. I suggest you book early, so you can request an airport pickup and lessen the hassle of getting a cab to the south bus terminal with all of your luggage and valuables.
Luckily, I got a chance to book their Governor’s Suite. The room’s ambiance is more exquisite than I expected and it had everything I needed: a set of tables and chairs to do business, a king-sized bed, a bathtub, a shower room as big as my room back in the city, and an 11ft private pool right outside of the room.
Their restaurant serves great food, as well. Check in with Rolan for their specials. He’s the one who took care of me when it comes to food during my stay, and I’m telling you, he won’t disappoint.
The ambiance of the resort is like a paradise. I even saw other people from other resorts chillin’ out in the resort due to its very relaxing vibe.
Oh, and did I mention that they’re pet-friendly?
The next morning, Kuya Danny and Richard accompanied me to a picnic at Kawasan Falls. Seeing the trail going to the falls, I thought it was just another ordinary waterfall and the photos online were just exaggerated.
Once we arrived, however, I was floored. I just stared at it, speechless, unable to wait to dive into its heavenly bluish waters.
I suggest you stick to a weekday itinerary when going to the falls, though. I was told that people tend to cramp up the falls during the weekend.
Once we got back to the resort, I took a walk to the beach and waited for the sunset.
