Ciao Italia, Crimson Hotel’s trip to Italy

When in Manila, in commemoration to Italy’s National Day on June 2, the newest 5-star hotel in south metro Crimson Hotel Filinvest City, Alabang Muntinlupa presents “Ciao Italia”.  Highlighting the gourmet dishes of South Italy and taking us away to a fine Italian food experience is Crimson Hotel’s very own executive chef Alessio Loddo, a native South Italian himself.

This coming June, a month long diverse spread of Italian love will envelope us to a food fest that will indulge our favorite Italian comfort food. If we don’t have the time to go to Italy, then Crimson Hotel will bring Italy to us! They prepared Italian art and music while we pamper ourselves with an Italian foodie experience like never before.

When I eat in a restaurant I look for the ambiance first. Will it give me the make-believe effect that I am really in a different place? That’s what I liked about Crimson’s Café Eight, it had the Italian ambiance I was looking for, from the artworks, to the staff’s dresses, to the music and down to their food. It seemed that there’s Italy all over the place.

As a sneak peak for Ciao Italia’s dishes, my personal favorite, Agnello Ai Carciofi (Lamb and Artichoke stew), a soft tender piece of meat that has a pinch of zesty flavor, a kiss of sun dried tomato and the savor of Italian parsley to add saltiness. Oh, how it’s a party in my mouth when I chew and tasted the juice out of it. A balance flavor of everything in it!
