Christian Grey is Being Recast for “50 Shades of Grey”, Charlie Hunnam Drops Out
When in Manila and looking forward to the movie adaptation of “50 Shades of Grey”, it’s hard not to react when the final cast for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele is finally introduced.
Originally, the role of Christian Grey was given to Charlie Hunnam, whom you may or may not know from “Sons of Anarchy” and “Pacific Rim”. When the casting was finalized, I had my doubts and was pretty downright bummed about the news, to be honest. Although after seeing this photo, I told myself it would work out fine. Maybe. Perhaps. Hopefully.
Well, today, it has been announced that Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the role of Christian Grey for “50 Shades of Grey” due to his hectic TV schedule. Though I have my doubts and think that he might have just been affected by the many memes that showed up after his casting… :p Like this one:
While I’m not a die-hard “50 Shades of Grey” fan, I am a bookworm and I do always make it a point to keep up with the hype and stay in-the-know, so I did read the book, I must admit. As such, I am extremely happy that my top picks for the role of Christian Grey may now be considered again:
My top pick for Christian Grey was actually Henry Cavill (who was also my top pick for “Twilight” back in the day), but seeing as he’s too busy being Superman nowadays, I definitely think Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer would do the role of Christian Grey justice.
Alexander Skarsgård would be a great Christian Grey, too, methinks. What do you think?
Here are some screen tests done on potential Christian Greys and Anastasia Steeles just to get your mind flowing :p
So, who’s your top pick for Christian Grey for the movie adaptation of “50 Shades of Grey”? Sound off and rejoice with me When in Manila!!! :D
