Many “Riverdale” fans were heartbroken after Ross Butler, who plays Reggie Mantle, decided to leave the show after the first season wrapped up to focus on his other hit show, “13 Reasons Why”, for its second season.
Filling in Ross’ shoes was hunky Charles Melton, who previously starred in small roles on shows like American Horror Story and Glee, with Riverdale his biggest role to date. Yet if his enthusiasm is any indication, it seems that he’s going to bring a great take on Reggie as Archie’s biggest rival! His tweet about his first day on the Riverdale set is enough to make anyone fall in love with Charles:

That’s the most adorable thing ever! Looks like he’s really stoked about joining the cast, and his passion should be enough to tune in for the next season.
