In its continuous effort to be and bring Christ to the young, CFC Youth for Christ (YFC) kicks-off its year-round activities with a global gathering of 7,000 – 8,000 members on April 7-9, 2017 at Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
In a span of 24 years, the membership of YFC has grown to over 70,000 members spread out in over 132 countries.CFC Youth for Christ International Conference (YFC-ICon)aims to empower and ignite the passion in the hearts of the young to take hold of a promised future. YFC-ICon is an annual gathering that takes place in different parts of the country. Within it are sub-events like concerts, congresses, creative showcases, pastoral sessions, skills workshop, parish encounter, parades, engaging booths and different outreach activities that focus on impressing upon the YFC ideals: Young, Christian, and Happy.
Now on its 24th year, the global gathering will be brought to the sunshine city of the North, Laoag, Ilocos Norte. On top of the breathtaking beauty of Ilocos Norte sights and sceneries, YFC takes this year’s ICon to greater heights as it stands on Solid Ground and celebrates with the theme, “Team Spirit.” Onboard the different activities of this year’s ICon are the participating brands that partnered and supported the cause of the event like SMART Communications, Jollibee, Ablaze, Coca-Cola, Julie’s Bakeshop, Robinsons Place Ilocos Norte, Hawkbag Backpacks, Goya Nockers, Frappe La Rue and Petron Gasul. Of course, ll of these activities would not be possible if not for the all-out support of the Local Government Unit of Laoag, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte and the whole Couples For Christ community in Ilocos Norte.

Dear young brothers and sisters in Christ, we are dearly loved and blessed by our God!
Living in today’s world is a different kind of adventure!
Our society right now promotes that faith is irrelevant. People are encouraged to choose any option, and any choice becomes right. Innovations are making us a generation that is distracted and divided. But we can stand, if we stand on SOLID GROUND! Our solid ground is no other than the faithful love of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We are called to be faithful, courageously and strong. We can do that, if we stand together… ONE TEAM, ONE GOD!
Let’s beat the heat this summer and be one in witnessing Christ at this year’s world class YFC International Conference. See you in Ilocos Norte!
