Celebrate Life at Kythe-Ateneo’s Kythe Week 2018: The Kynival

KW KF POSTER

Kythe-Ateneo aims to alleviate the anxiety of pediatric patients with chronic illnesses, as well as their families, through meaningful play and interaction inside our affiliate hospitals. We also organize advocacy events outside the hospital that give the kids the opportunity to enjoy their childhood. Now on its 25th year, the organization aims to further its commitment to service by improving its advocacy campaigns, and quite possibly create even more impactful events that are able to re-establish and strengthen the core values of the organization. Two of these noteworthy events are Kythe Week and Kythe Flying, held at the Ateneo De Manila University, Loyola Schools Campus.

Kythe Week 2018: The Kynival will focus on the involvement of the Ateneo community; through this, we hope to help the community realize their capability to help and live a life full of love just like our Kythe kids, whose brave battles with hospitalization continue to inspire the rest of us to keep living life to its fullest. Kythe Flying, one of our flagship events, is Kythe Week’s culminating activity, wherein children from Kythe affiliated hospitals visit our campus as we try to live out “kythe” –healing through simple sharing and togetherness. Kythe Week will be held from February 19-23, 2018 at the SEC Field, while Kythe Flying will be held on February 24, 2018 at Bellarmine Field. We will be inviting sixty children, along with their parents and guardians, and the Child Life Coordinators to participate in this event. There will also be other partner organizations, over 100 volunteers, and 120 buddies assigned to the Kythe kids during the event.

Join us as we continue to drive forward our advocacy by providing the kids and their families with a day filled with fun, laughter, and love.
