CAVALIA in Singapore: It’s More than just Horses. (Cavalia Now Galloping at the White Theatre Tent, Marina Bay Sands Singapore). Must Close 5th October!

 

Beautiful creatures (both 2 and four legged!) in one scintillating show. A pool of talented individuals that could choreograph gallant horses in performances that were executed flawlessly. Simply put, CAVALIA is a fresh mix of equestrian and performing arts, multimedia and special effects, modernly integrating acrobatics, dance, aerial stunts and live music. The animal-human interaction is truly unique added up with a magnificent digital stage set-up and a powerful live band. You can feel the horses’ love and devotion they have for their trainers.  Soft spoken words in which I like to call, whispers of love prompted the full behavioral changes for the horses, furthermore they emit the true meaning of beauty especially during those acts when they were free of saddles, bridles and reins. Cavalia is a total package, worth seeing not just once. The acrobatics were excellently choreographed, keeping the audience enthralled . Generally, Cavalia has brilliant elements and exhibit pure human-animal interaction consistency. Watch these amazing creatures saunter around together and how they produce the purest form of art. 

 

 

 
One cannot imagine how flexible the human body is but what more when they are riding horses? Yes. Galloping horses. It’s not an easy feat training these horses, as what they say. Cavalia’s stars are of course, the stallions, gelding, yes…horses. Normal people would have difficulty riding a horse you see, let alone riding 6-8 horses at a time running in full speed. 

 

 

 

There are too many astonishing acts to share but some of the bests are:

Ferland Ferguson (female stunt rider) performances. Each time she appears on stage , expect something extra beautiful! Ferguson was the one who inspired the hit Disney Movie, Brave; not to mention her fatal fall from a cliff that led her to ICU with 40 broken bones. She is a true fighter and she rocks the stage.

The flying act with two horses and women who defeat gravity. Colourful angels in perfect unison.

The background (digital) scenes, pictures and lighting are really mesmerizing, it enhances the horses’ overall appearance. Feast your eyes on the picturesque setting with the medieval costumes. Magical scenarios that come to life.

 

  

Cavalia is not just circus with horses, it’s the human-horse relationship. You don’t have to be a horse lover to appreciate this majestic show. Horses galloping on the stage, running free while humans herd them with pure whispers of love. Experience the wonderful presence of these elements when you catch Cavalia. A rare thing of beauty in one stellar show. Bottom line, highly recommend that you see Cavalia. They have extended the show until 5th of October!
