You might be thinking, “Wait, I think a more appropriate title would be “Remembering Steve Jobs, the Great Visionary, Co-Founder and CEO of Apple”. I’ve used a Macbook (for the first time) for my Newspaper Layouting class. And sometimes, my friend [...]

world-youth-day-2011-protesters_thumb.jpg

When in Manila Madrid, Filipino delegates and tourists didn’t expect the hostile treatment that they were about to get with some of the Spaniards during the World Youth Day 2011. Apparently, the latter were blatantly expressing their disgust over the Catholic church by harassing the tourists who came for the said event.

london-riots-07_thumb.jpg

When in Manila, I was disheartened seeing the news about London riots. What started out as a shooting incident involving a local man and a police officer turned into a widespread form of public rebellion. What is happening with the world nowadays? Is violence really necessary to invoke power and authority? Does the shedding of blood and loss of innocent lives signify redemption for injustice? Think about it guys.

22690-toasters-recall

Everyday, we use appliances to make our lives more  convenient. On the other hand, these things may also pose risks if we don’t use them properly.  A certain brand of pop-up toaster called ”Hamilton Beach” is being recalled by the US FDA because of reported fire hazard cases testified by users. In most cases, the toaster doesn’t pop-up, instead, it overheats. And when it is left unnoticed for a long time, it can possibly cause  fire.
