When in Manila and a die-hard pro wrestling fan, chances are you can only get your fix through watching wrestling on TV or on YouTube (if you hate the commercials and fast forward through the women’s wrestling matches).

Manila has not had a chance to witness a live wrestling event since 2009 but that will change when WWFX, or the World Wrestling Fan Xperience: Champion Showcase Tour 2012, hits our shores this weekend.

The outfit promises to be the most fan-interactive wrestling promotion this side of the world. One of the ways it plans to prove that is through the WWFX Fan Contest.

The WWFX Fan Contest will give two lucky fans (one male and one female) the chance to be part of the event as either a guest ring announcer for one match, or as a manager, accompanying one of the superstars during his/her match.

To be part of the contest, fans must answer the question, “Who is your favorite Wrestler on WWFX?” and post a picture of themselves holding their ticket to the show and upload it on the show’s like page, https://www.facebook.com/WWFXManila

When WhenInManila.com contributor Stan found out about the contest, he knew he wouldn’t be able to resist the idea of possibly being the guest ring announcer at the event, so he took my pride, swallowed it, and joined the contest.

When in Manila, it’s impossible not to feel the frenzied hustle of the fast-paced city life (unless you are a monk in a trance).  Sometimes we all need a break and go to a faraway place where the loud car horns and smokescreen of…well…smoke are just some distant tiny beeps and wisps of out-of-place gas.   One day, out of whim, I decided to take that break.  I checked out some tour packages online to see if there are any available that same November weekend the spur of the moment decision took place. 

Enter travelfactor.org, a very cool organization for travellers with lots of great feedback. Being a solo traveller, I found the services that they offer very beneficial. They take care of the transportation, the billeting, among others.   I decided to register for their Surfvivor La Union trip to try being the surfer chick that people insist I am (must be because I’m morena).  The package included transportation to and from La Union, an overnight stay in a hotel, one dinner, 2 surfing lessons, a personalized bag tag and a Travel Factor shirt, all for just Php 3,000.00.  I looked forward to spending time away from the worries of the city and finally ticking off one item from my bucketlist: to travel alone.  

So I, a group of students, a group of officemates, and the group coordinator and his girlfriend, departed in a van that took us to La Union in roughly about six hours.   We arrived at Sebay Inn at the break of dawn.  The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to use one of the rooms before the official check-in time.  It was drizzling and I thought it was just perfect.  You see, I’m planning to get stoked but never get heat stroke.

As a kid growing up, I was exposed to so many outdoor activities. I still have very fond memories of cold nights spent in sleeping bags, giggling and counting shooting stars.

Time went by, and I grew up into a city dweller. When In Manila, I learned to go out, shop and dine. The only exercise I get is when I walk through Landmark from Glorietta, to get to Greenbelt. The urban jungles of Manila have become the only jungle I am familiar with. I was afraid, and yes, it was very apparent that I have lost my fun, outdoor side.

I was trying to wrap my head around this realization and trying to convince myself of otherwise when word was given about Roxy’s Femme Fling. Roxy was inviting bloggers for a day of fun and activities at their store in Nuvali. Knowing of Roxy’s fun and active reputation, I immediately got on board. Roxy, challenge accepted!

The day started with a 10:30 a.m. meet up at R.O.X. in Bonifacio Highstreet, which happens to be the biggest sports, outdoor, and recreation store in Southeast Asia. We then took two of these cool Rockstar vans to Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

It was at almost 12 when we arrived. After those Rockstar energy drinks while on the way, there was very excited chatter. Lunch was served courtesy of Sumo Sam. During a sushi making demo, they explained that their restaurant makes use of authentic ingredients that gives their food that extra oomph!

My favorites were the Tempura, the Salmon with Wasabi Cream Sauce, the Salmon Sashimi, and the Crunchy Tuna Maki.

After the meal, we headed on to the Nuvali Qucksilver store, which carries Roxy, and started with the days activities. A very comfortable beach setting greeted us once in the store. There were these pink oversized Roxy pillows, seashell decors, and even gummy sea critters! Isn’t it pretty?

First up were manicures from Nail-a-holics. The pampering begins…

Next up was a make up demo from Wet n’ Wild. I’ve always been familiar with the brand and I use it myself, but I never knew that it started as makeup for surfer girl types hence the name.

We were then given a short presentation on Roxy as a brand. I believe the best line from that was: “Roxy is like a summer day that never ends”.

The fashion challenge was our next activity. We were divided into groups and given a specific theme. We were to style and shoot a Roxy campaign with that theme.

We didn’t win the challenge, though it really didn’t matter much at that point. Prizes were awarded to the winners and giveaways were given out to everyone. This included gift certificates from Roxy. Yay!

There was a longboarding activity set up next which I was excited for, but shopping overshadowed everything else, and we didn’t get to go anymore.

It was a long, fun, and tiring day. The Roxy Femme Fling was one for the books. Roxy shows us that you don’t really have to be the outdoorsy type to have an adventure. It’s all about the attitude.

Last weekend, the ABS-CBN Foundation, Boardwalk, and other sponsors spearheaded an event dubbed as “A Run For The Pasig River.” This advocacy run aims to encourage Filipinos in taking their part to restore Pasig River’s former beauty and to keep it safe and clean. It also aims to spark awareness to Filipinos on what we can do to protect and give back to our environment. WhenInManila.com was invited to experience this spectacular event!

“A Run for Pasig River” was able to attain a world record by gathering 150,000 individuals all running for the same environmental goal, breaking last year’s record. Being able to witness history unfold before my eyes gave me more hope that our country can strive to be better if we all aim and focus on one positive goal. Seeing the smiles of the people running for the Pasig River,not hindered by the heat of the morning sun, and great number of individuals around them was definitely a sight to behold. It was a sight which can ignite the passion of every Filipino. All of these were made possible by the sponsors and Boardwalk’s Para Sa Kalikasan Campaign.

The run had categories for 3k, 5k, and 10k. Friends, families, colleagues, classmates, and even celebrities with the likes of Derek Ramsay, Jake Cuenca, and Matteo Guidicelli, all came with the intent of doing their part to help save Pasig River. Personally, I felt that I was already part of history just by running in this event. Not only was I able to uphold a healthy lifestyle, but I was also able to be part of a Guinness World Record, and Pasig river’s restoration. After the run, entertainment was provided by various celebrities and rock bands. Not to mention the freebies which are offered all around the activity area. This was truly a great way to culminate the wonderful event!

With this event, Boardwalk showed that their passion does not only lie in fashion and lifestyle but also in doing their part in making our country a better place for us and for future generations to come. During these tough times, we need institutions and events such as this one to fuel the Filipino passion towards our country and our environment. This is definitely something to look forward to When In Manila. Our gratitude to Boardwalk Business Ventures, Inc., for giving us an opportunity to be part of history.

When in Manila and painting the town red, do yourself (and society) a favor and NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE. Such is the slogan of the Johnnie Walker Join the Pact campaign of which is the brand’s global commitment to promote the safe and responsible consumption of its products. Last November 5, 100 lucky individuals were blessed with gold passes which granted them access to Johnnie Walker’s Step Inside the Circuit party held at Prive Luxury Club. The party was not only meant to raise widespread awareness about the issues revolving responsible drinking and drunk driving, but it was also a means to encourage those present to join the campaign and to sign the pact to never drink and drive via www.jointhepact.com

The highlight of the night was the introduction of Johnnie Walker‘s Responsible Drinking Ambassador since 2008, two- time McLaren Mercedes Formula One World Champion, Mika Hakkinen. Growing up, my brother and I were avid fans of Formula One, with me cheering for McLaren and my brother for Ferrari, so when I heard Hakkinen was coming to Manila, I knew I had to pull out all the stops to meet him. During the party itself, it was difficult to take a picture with Hakkinen, but with much perseverance and my skills of wading through crowds and long lines, I was able to not only take pictures with THE Mika Hakkinen, but shake his hand and exchange a couple of words. (Haha, I’m sorry, I realize I sound like a fan girl)

Anyways, I was later told that I’d be able to interview Mika one-on-one before a private cocktail party that was to be held at Red, Shangri-la Makati the next day. I made sure that I went prepared, that I was dressed appropriately, had my questions ready and I swore I’d maintain an air of professionalism during the interview, but once I stepped into the interview room and was sitting 2 arms length away from Mika, I was a nervous wreck. Thankfully he was very accommodating and answered my questions in a friendly manner that immediately put me at ease. 

While sipping on his cup of coffee, Mika, myself and another interviewer were able to discuss several things but great emphasis was put on why he joined the campaign in the first place, to which he was reminded of his almost fatal ’95 Formula One car crash in Adelaide. He spoke of how not being in control of his car was not only terrifying but of course, life changing. He did mention though that he was thankful that the accident happened in a controlled environment and that the only person injured was himself. He went on to say that that was why he joined Johnnie Walker’s campaign, he said that being sober and losing control is one thing, but being drunk, getting behind the wheel, and posing a threat to not only yourself but also to other innocent people is, as he said, STUPID. 

I will never forget that moment when he looked at me dead in the eye and said, NEVER EVER DRINK AND DRIVE. For Mika, it doesn’t matter if you only had one shot of tequila or one bottle of beer, if there’s a drop of alcohol in your system, don’t even think of getting behind the driver’s wheel. He brought up the importance of having a designated driver, a role that is easily interchangeable per party, that way, no one misses out on the fun. 

“In its simplest form, responsible drinking means that people need to be accountable for their own safety and that of those around them. Part of this means not drinking alcohol if you are planning to drive. There are so many options available whether it is appointing a friend to be the designated driver, booking a taxi or using a public transport for your journey home. It may sound simple, but unfortunately there are still people who think it is acceptable to drink and drive and I am determined to do all I can to help change these attitudes.”

The opportunity to sit down and chat with a racing legend is one that I will never forget. I honestly believe that Johnnie Walker made a good decision in appointing Mika Hakkinen as their spokesperson because who better to tell you a thing or two about responsible driving then a two time Formula One champion, right? When In Manila, you’ll hear nothing but the sound of silence on the streets only about once or twice a year. No busy city traffic, no jeepneys honking their horns, no cops blowing their whistles and no lost souls wandering the alleys. The streets turn EMPTY whenever a Manny Pacquiao fight is on!

This time, it was the third time that Manny Pacquiao would go against Juan Manuel Marquez to finally silence the critics, and Marquez, who have never  once stopped talking about the past two matches. In the first Pacquiao vs Marquez fight, it ended in a draw. The second Pacquiao – Marquez fight ended in a one point win by Pacquiao. Both times, each fighter still claiming that they had won the fight. 24 rounds and no clear winner.

Enter Pacquiao Marquez 3. Another twelve rounds to finally determine who is the true winner.

Experts and critics all chant how Pacquiao has gotten much better and that Marquez does not stand a chance. Even the gambling world turned their backs on Marquez and all expected Pacquiao to win as the betting odds turned 10-1 in favor of Pacquiao. Meaning that if you had bet a thousand dollars ($1,000.00) on Manny Pacquiao, you’d only win $100.

Finally, the Pacquiao Marquez bout came and went. Round 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on. It seemed that there was still no clear winner for this rivalry. It went all the way down to the last bell again. Another 12 rounds, and the winner…. Manny Pacquiao!

Many are now crying foul, saying the judges were blind and biased. Marquez seemed to land the stronger blows and at times seemed to control the bout. At one point you could hear Freddy Roach even tell Pacquiao that they were falling behind.

All that from the crowds point of view.

But from the judges’ point of view: : Scores were 114-114, 115-113, 116-112. Pacquiao by majority decision.

So from that point of view, it seems clear that Manny Pacquiao had indeed won the match. But will fans, and Juan Manuel Marquez, accept that?

We’ll just have to wait and see if this calls for yet another matchup between the two.

“Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow. Historically it has been used for hunting and combat. Nowadays it has evolved as a sport. Gandiva promotes and advocates sports through archery. In the Philippines, archery is known as a sport for elites. This notion is what Gandiva is trying to eradicate by reaching out to the grass roots.” (grass roots= common folk) 

By 2008, Gandiva has worked hand in hand with the Department of Education by giving free Armory Clinics in the different regional meets. Primary purpose is to orient coaches and archers nationwide with the variety of archery equipment that could fit their budget. To date, Gandiva has reached out to 14 regions, 67 provinces and 29 municipalities/cities. It has hosted different events namely, the 3rd Asian Grand Prix and South East Asian Championships, 1st Highlander Invitational Archery Tournament, Pasig Summer Sports Clinic and the Manila Polo Club Archery Open, and has offered free equipment tuning for the three Palarong Pambansa to name some. In March 31, 2009, the first Gandiva Store officially opened at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. This is the first Archery Pro Shop in the country.

Currently they have a second branch in the heart of Ortigas Center which not only houses an indoor archery range but also a vegetarian restaurant that serves amazingly delicious food (I’ll talk about the cafe in a separate post). 

Gandiva Archery is open to the public and offers lessons ranging from beginner’s to advanced. However, if you don’t want to avail of the lessons and just want to shoot arrows, you may do so at a hourly rate of P600 (inclusive of trainer and safety gear). Oh, did I mention that the trainers are the same guys who train the Philippines’ archery team? 

Before I started, I was asked to put on an arm guard and finger guard for safety reasons. After that, I was good to go! 

As you can see, I can’t shoot arrows to save my life. If I were lost in the woods and had to depend on hunting for food, I’d die. Seriously, I’d just die. But whatever! The fact is, I had a blast and am pretty sure you would too! Nothing beats trying to relive your childhood and pretending that you’re Robin Hood. Also, it doesn’t matter how sucky your hand-eye coordination is, as long as your bow and arrow are aimed at the target and not at another human being, then you should be good. On the other hand, my friend Luis did better than I did, he hit the bull’s eye the first couple of times he shot… Good job! 

For those who feel like they want to pursue archery after realizing how fun and awesome it is, Gandiva Archery also has a store on site wherein you can buy whatever equipment necessary. They also have a lounge area and locker rooms for men and for women.

Gandiva Archery Range in Pasig City: Bow and Arrow Course in Manila 

When in Manila, I was going through the news when I came upon an article stating that David Beckham would be coming to Manila. I died! Well, obviously not literally, but you get my point. DAVID BECKHAM?! In Manila?! God loves me!! 

According to the article, Azkals team coordinator Ace Bright made the announcement on his twitter account last Saturday night: ”LA Galaxy and Azkals, dec 4 rizal stadium :)” 

Apparently, LA Galaxy (Beckham’s current soccer/football team) visiting the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries is part of their promotional tour. However, although 80% of the tour is confirmed and though negotiations are in the advanced stage, the fact that David Beckham will be part of it is still under negotiations. 

People… START PRAYING. DAVID BECKHAM IN THE PHILIPPINES?! What could be a better Christmas gift than that?!

When in Manila, amazing things happen every day: stars are born, millions are made (and lost), and people defy gravity.  I got to see this for myself, watching the jaw-dropping, eye-popping, and even heartwrenching performance of Polecats Manila, the Philippines’ premiere pole-dancing group, at PhilAm Life Auditorium.  Infusing pole-dance moves with jazz, ballet, gymnastics, and maybe just a pinch of superhumanity, the Polecats wowed the crowd at Polarity: The Polecats Manila Second Year Anniversary Show.

For the uninitiated, the Polecats are responsible for turning something once confined to seedy nightclubs into high art (both figuratively and literally).  Last summer, I enrolled as a “Polekitten”(student pole dancer) at their main studio, Gen Studios, along Pearl Drive, Ortigas, and became a certified Polecats fan, which is why when I heard they were celebrating their second anniversary, I jumped at a chance to attend their show.

I was not disappointed.  In true Polecats fashion, the dances were a combination of contemporary jazz moves, pole-dance poses and tricks, and ballet-like grace.  The Polecats spun, kicked, flipped, and literally turned worlds upside-down in moves that seemed almost superhuman.  I couldn’t take pictures fast enough to keep up with their rapid-fire choreography: one minute a girl would be doing a basic “thigh hold” (it is what it sounds like: you grip the pole with your thighs, no hands) on the pole, and the next she’d be upside-down and spinning, all to the rhythm of OPM hits played by the Manila Symphony Orchestra.

My favorite number was one performed by two girls and Polecats’ sole “tomcat.”  It told a story in dance of a girl in love with a boy in love with another girl.  It may sound cheesy, but set against a sad OPM love song, with the stage bathed in blue lights, and the dancers moving in graceful contemporary-dance steps that would have made Mia Michaels (of So You Think You Can Dance fame) proud, it was actually rather heartwrenching.

Guest performer Parkour Philippines literally exploded onstage.  Parkour exercises are described as “movements designed to get around obstacles quickly and efficiently,” as in rescue situations.  Given this action hero-like definition, it should have been no surprise when the Parkour Philippines performers ran full-tilt, jumped, rolled, leapfrogged, and climbed up the poles like monkeys hopping from tree to tree.  I worried they might accidentally kick one of the orchestra members in the head.  Near the end of their set they even leapt off the stage and into the audience, balancing on the edges of unoccupied seats!

In the souvenir program, company manager Myla Tan explained the title of the show, “Polarity” — having two opposite poles which contrast each other.  Pole-dancing, she explained, was a sort of polarity: tension in the movements, in balance, in pushing the limit and throwing a couple of laws of physics out the window.  To illustrate this was a saucy yin-and-yang number with some girl-on-girl action.  By girl-on-girl, I literally mean a girl ON another girl: the dancers, one dressed in black and the other in white, alternated standing on each other while on the pole, dangling each other by the legs and/or arms, and, in a definite crowd-pleaser of a move, even formed the yin-yang circle!

You would think that one-and-a-half hours worth of pole-dancing would get boring, but the show went remarkably fast.  Pretty soon, it was the final number.  To the instrumental of Pupil‘s Disconnection Notice, the entire Polecats Manila ensemble strut their stuff in an attitude-filled number that, to me, was reminiscent of Chicago’s “Cell Block Tango.”

To make things more exciting, Parkour Philippines once again burst on the scene, jumping over the posed dancers and running circles around everyone in what seemed like a never-ending stream of kinetic energy.

With this mix of Parkour, Pole, and OPM rock n’ roll, it was finally curtain call for Polarity.  To me, it had barely felt like thirty minutes, much less one-and-a-half hours of dance and theatrics.  The audience seemed to feel the same: all of us tried to call for an encore after everyone had given their bows.  The dancers did not give in, but the Manila Symphony Orchestra played its rendition of the Eraserheads’ Ang Huling El Bimbo, which had started the show.  (Side note: I would definitely pay for a CD of their instrumentals for Polarity.)

When in Manila, you’ll find that basketball is an all time favorite sport for most people. It’s an intricate part of our culture and our lives! So it was with great pleasure that I’m able to step forth into this “rite of passage” of watching my first live basketball game, at the same time that a new team was making their Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) debut! Here’s the story of my very first live PBA game with the very new Shopinas.com Clickers PBA team! 

Basketball in the Philippines is life! Take a walk around your neighborhood and you’ll see shirtless young men in slippers sweating it out under the scorching heat of the sun just to keep the game going. Try, if only you can, knocking at doors on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, then going inside those typical homes to see if what they’re up to. Chances are you’ll see people glued on their seats with eyes on their television, watching live streaming of the night’s PBA games.  

It’s the same at home. My parents are basketball fans, especially my dad. I’m not into the sport but I can consider myself a fan as well. I watched a number of college / UAAP basketball games live, both men’s and women’s. Also, some of my friends are basketball players themselves.

However, me and my friends are bummers and we haven’t watched a single Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) game live! We were dying to watch any PBA game live since forever but we really didn’t know why we haven’t found the time until last night.

There were five of us and it was everyone’s, except for one, first time so just imagine how excited we are when we finally found our seats. Good thing is we’re not the only first timers. Let’s welcome the Shopinas.com Clickers debuting in their first Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) game ever as a new team! 

Just by the team’s name, it’s sure to grab anyone’s attention. It’s the first time that a basketball team adopted a name of a Web site! Also, you’ll probably say that’s why they’re called Clickers but wait ‘til you find out that it’s actually a combination of Clippers and Lakers.

It’s a feel good team for our group because the team has fresh faces. They’ve got Hermida, Sena, Sison and Canta — four out of the ten youngest players in today’s PBA. Ritualo, Espiritu and Duncil also bring with them college / UAAP memories. The team’s young but as you all know it, young players got the best of spirits and the most powerful of legs.

We were not disappointed. Ritualo gave a good game with a total of 19 points. It makes sense that the return of his tandem with Coach Franz Pumaren will do well for the team. His 3pts skill still shows. Of course, what could be expected from the 2002 PBA Rookie of the Year? On the other hand, Duncil still has his MVP moves, Mirza did some three points and Sison did a good straight 4 points at the start of the second half. Espiritu however could have done better.

It didn’t look good at the start of the game but maybe this is because it’s their first game. Despite the first time feel, we can say that they were really in for a fight as we saw how they try to keep pace in running. They also got the audience cheering for them when from a 42-55 at the end of the 2^nd quarter, they did a 9-0 run at the start of the third quarter.

Shopinas.com Clickers were up against the Powerade Tigers. They were given a rude welcome to their PBA start with a 98-87 loss. It was still a great game though for the Clickers who did not go down without a fight. The fans are expecting even bigger and brighter things from them and the only way to go from here is UP! 

As for my friends and I, it was one great first time! Our first ever LIVE PBA game was one to remember!

Polecats Manila is the Philippine’s premiere pole dancing group composed of 10 polecats and a tomcat who aims to share their love for pole dancing through classes they offer.. Founded by Cristina Dy last 2009, Polecats Manila has been busy toning up bodies, building confidence, promoting fitness and inspiring people to push a little more than what they can! Polecats Manila, recognized internationally with certified pole instructors, a member of the Pole Fitness Association, is bound to push you beyond what you think you can’t do.

I have been lucky to be able to watch the Polecats perform a pole dancing routine last August at the Mellow 94.7 S & M Listeners’ Party.

Right there and then, I was really amazed by how these cats manage to pull themselves up and down the poles and do different pole tricks without falling. I believe the people there also must agree with me. :)

And just last September 18, 2011 during BLOGAPALOOZA by When In Manila at Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City, I was able to see them again. I even had the chance to try spinning at the pole. :)

When in Manila and preparing for a marathon, what do you do?  Friends who participate in marathons say you should train, especially when participating in the bigger events (10k, 21k). But you know what Coach Rio dela Cruz advised? Eat, sleep well, and relax before the event. And that’s what we did.

Kaspersky, together with Unilab, recently hosted a carbo loading event at Italianni’s Serendra for the RunRio marathon held last August 21. It was a night filled with food, an inspirational talk by Kaspersky Lab’s officials, Jay-R, and Coach Rio, more food, merry making (Jay-R swooned the crowd with his voice. I say he’s a good performer),  and more food. It was for Run United – the 2nd leg of the RunRio Trilogy Series, and Kaspersky Lab sponsored the 10k category.

The people behind Kaspersky thought it was a god way to create Internet safety and social media awareness. Jimmy Fong, Channel Sales Director of Kaspersky Lab South East Asia, also elaborated on how we should be aware of malwares, virus, and other malicious attacks online.

Recently, I had my computer reformatted because Windows won’t open (probably some virus) – and it cost me ALL MY FILES. Photos, write-ups, everything – gone. I promised my self that from now on, I would be more cautious with everything I do on and with the computer. So When in Manila, or anywhere else for that matter, be more careful online.

In light of the NBA lockout, many players are considering of playing basketball overseas. Many of them want to stay in shape and continue to play abroad in leagues around the world. And also to get paid BIG.

Here are some names that have already committed to teams overseas:

• Nicolas Batum – Nancy (France)
• Jordan Farmar – Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel)
• Nenad Krstic – CSKA Moscow (Russia)
• Ty Lawson - Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania)
• Sasha Vujacic – Anadolu Efes (Turkey)
• Sonny Weems – Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania)
• Deron Williams – Besiktas (Turkey)

A bunch of other NBA players are thinking of playing in China, with the big market and all. Among those interested are Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier, Aaron Brooks, Jared Dudley, Luis Scola, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade.

Ron Artest has told everyone he’ll be playing for a UK team, Cheshite (Great Britain).

Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, is interested in playing overseas but says the offer from Besiktas (Turkey) is too low.

Other names who are open to the idea of playing basketball abroad if the NBA lockout continues to loom are Kevin Durant, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Tyson Chandler, Stephen Curry, Glen Davis, TJ Ford, Rudy Gay, Jarret Jack, Kevin Love and Amare Stoudemire.

I’m still hoping the NBA owners and the players’ union can patch things up and fix these money issues. Life is never the same without NBA. That’s the only reason I subscribed to cable, man.
