Caffera: Manila’s First Photography-Themed Cafe!

Caffera: Manila’s First Photography-Themed Cafe!

I was browsing on Facebook one night when I came across a post that said there’s a new cafe along Maginhawa St., Teachers Village that has a photography theme. I got extremely excited because Maginhawa is close to my heart as this was where I lived when I was a senior in college. Plus, I love themed coffee shops, and I am also into photography. The pictures of cupcakes also caught my attention as they had fondant 2D and 3D DSLRs on top!

So, not long ago, I visited Caffera. It’s a small coffee shop that can accommodate 16 customers inside and outside the veranda where everything — from the displays, wall, comfort room, to the menu — is consistent with its theme. The place itself has good subjects to take pictures of and to post on Instagram.

The customers can clip their photos here or submit a photo to Caffera. Caffera also encourages people who submit photos to put watermarks on them, so others will know who took the photo.

You can also put your calling cards here. You’ll never know!

All of the pictures displayed on Caffera’s walls were photographed by the owners and their friends! Even their lights are improvised lens mugs, which the owners did themselves.

These wall displays (photos above and below) are in the comfort room. Even the comfort room matches the theme!
