Bright Lights in the Big City’s Night Sky: The SM Mall of Asia’s 6th Philippine International PyroMusical Competition
A grand spectacle of sound and colors is set to light up the night skies, as the country’s premier event and destination mall hosts one of the most awaited yearly events! The SM Mall of Asia once again gathers the world’s leading pyrotechnic experts for the Philippine International Pyro-Musical
Competition, which is now on its 6th year.
The light and sound extravaganza promises to be even bigger and better this 2015, as representatives from 11 countries showcase the latest in pyrotechnics technology set to the backdrop of the beautiful Manila Bay. The participating teams are ready to rock the crowds that have reached a record of 1 million in the past years.
There are two countries set for the weekly installments of the Grand International Pyromusical competition, starting at 7:30 every Saturday from February 7 to March 14. The event kicks off with a spectacular exhibition number by the Philippine team on February 7. Platinum Fireworks Inc., will center its exhibition with a theme that will inspire national pride and an appreciation for Filipino creativity.
The first competing contingent comes from Japan, which follows the Philippine program on February 7 at 8:30, while the entries by Italy and Brazil are set to sizzle in the skies on Valentine’s Day this February 14. On February 21, Mexico and the Netherlands hold their fireworks fiesta, then Portugal and Sweden will show off their pyrotechnic prowess on February 28. March 7 will see Canada and the US team in action, while the finale on March 14 will be a grand display by China, with another world-class presentation by the Philippine team for the closing ceremonies.
There are also grand on-ground activities to get the party started and amp up the level of excitement with marching bands, fire dancers, and a live Music mix of charming DJ Kim Maravilla.
Admission tickets for the dazzling pyromusical displays at the SM By the Bay Seaside Boulevard of SM Mall of Asia range from P1,500 for patrons, inclusive of dinner, VIP (P500), Gold (P300), and Silver (P100).
