Breakout Philippines: The First Real-Life Escape Room Game in Manila
When In Manila, the creators of Outbreak Philippines have bought another brilliant game in the Metro. Last weekend, we were able to try BREAKOUT: The First Real-Life Escape room in the Philippines! And all I can say is that, IT WAS AWESOME and FUN!
If you love those escape room games on your phone or tablets, or a big fan Sherlock and CSI then being in a real-life escape room game is waaaaay more cooler and highly interactive. Breakout has that similar concept of the SAW movies wherein the participants have to accomplish tasks and solve some riddles to escape, except Breakout will not put you in any dangerous situation nor has SAW scaring the wits out of you. Breakout is all about PLAN. SOLVE. ESCAPE. — and yeah, EXCITEMENT and FUN.
I don’t want to risk some spoilers about the BREAKOUT so I’ll let you be the judge! Trust me, JUST GO and TRY IT.
What is Breakout?
He you ever tried those online escape games? Breakout gives you the opportunity to let your inner detective come out and experience
THE FIRST REAL ESCAPE ROOM GAME IN THE PHILIPPINES. The concept originates from Japan and has now gained fans across many different countries such as US, China, Singapore, and Canada, before finally coming to the Philippines.
Breakout provides a unique experience with a realistic and sophisticated built environment. It is an interactive game where participants will have to team up to find clues and solve logic puzzles based on various storylines and themed rooms. The goal is to ESCAPE THE ROOM IN 45 MINUTES.
Players are encouraged to PLAN as a team, SOLVE puzzles collaboratively in order to ESCAPE before time expires.
When you read books, you can imagine. When you play video games or watch a movie, you can be drawn in. But in Breakout, you EXPERIENCE FIRST-HAND THE EXCITEMENT of the mental and physical challenges the game has to offer.

Breakout is located in Paragon Plaza Ground floor Reliance St., corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila 1550, Philippines. It is just corner building right after the cocoa scent-emitting building of Ricoa along EDSA.
There are currently two themed rooms that you can try: Adarna’s Lair and the Prison Room.
Adarna’s Lair
- You are a detective trying to discover more about the virus during the initial spreading of the Zombie Outbreak in Manila. Succeeding rumors of Dr. Adarna being involved with the Outbreak, you investigate his house to look for solid evidence and perhaps a way to stop the infection before it becomes too late.
Upon entering the premises, you get a feeling you are not alone. You start hearing sounds you only hear in nightmares. Can you find the information you need and breakout before you become zombie bait?
This has the highest difficulty level and where we were tested. Unfortunately, we didn’t escape but I can’t wait to go back and close our unfinished business with Dr. Adarna! Recommended number of players would be 6 players.
Prison Room
- You are a distinguished police officer locked up after being wrongfully framed. For months, you have been plotting your escape but are intercepted by another officer who discovers your plans and knocks you unconscious.
Much later, you wake up to the sound of a prison riot and realize you’re alone in the cell. With the commanding officer gone, you decide to try and escape before the guards return. 45 minutes is all it takes for a riot to clear. Can you remember your notes and breakout in time?
The Prison Room is unknown to us so that’s another reason to be back! Recommended number of players: 5 players.
