Galvez St., Pasay, Metro Manila and together, let’s  break the culture of treating the visually impaired as invalids.

James MacKay Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit and a corporate foundation that acquires companies which help sustain the foundation and its 4 pillars: Education, Livelihood, Sports, and Healthcare. The foundation desires a life of equal opportunities for our visually impaired brothers and sisters as it encourages people to help and spread the awareness about these children who have all the potentials in the world of becoming productive citizens.

The foundation supports the Philippine National School for the Blind (PNSB), the only residential national school for learners with visual impairment in the Philippines. This year, James MacKay Foundation Inc. focuses on its livelihood with the theme “Dare to Care” and the goal of raising Php 5 million pesos to be used for the construction of the 2-storey building of the livelihood center for our handicapped brothers and sisters.  Through the livelihood center, the foundation will create sustainable jobs for our visually impaired brothers and sisters who will be able to maximize their capabilities and earn their own income.

The livelihood center will consist of a training center for language development, a manufacturing center, a production area, a massage parlor, a laundry area, and a canteen. James MacKay Foundation Inc. will support the teachers of Philippine National School for the Blind on creating foreign language curriculums to promote the students on having an opportunity to become translators, also, they can be trained as call center agents in the future. The visually impaired can manufacture and produce hand soaps that will be supplied to different hotels. These students will be working hand-in-hand with their parents after they have graduated. Their parents will be helping them in cooking and serving in the canteen, in making the beads for accessories at the manufacturing and production areas, and guiding them in the massage parlor and laundry areas.

James MacKay Foundation Inc. supports the livelihood of the local farmers and has acquired MLA Healthcare Enterprise Corporation and its product, Manna Plus. The foundation and MLA Corporation plan to set up its own Malunggay farm and create sustainable jobs for our local farmers offering them better trading conditions by planting Malunggay. Through this, we manufacture Manna Plus, a quality multivitamins which is 100% Filipino made, affordable yet very beneficial for the growth and development of Filipino children. Filipino families will benefit from Manna Plus as they give back and help the foundation provide sustainable jobs to the hardworking Filipino farmers.
