Break Out Philippines’ Room 13: A New Escape Room to Excite Your Brain and Blast It Off
Break Out Philippines fans rejoice! We are happy to announce that this heart-thumping, mind-frustrating, adrenaline-rushing game has included a new room with more heart-racing, mind-boggling, adrenaline-charging puzzles, logics and mysteries to solve!
Introducing Break Out Philippines’ Latest Offering: Room 13!
Imagine this:
“You and your friends check in at an old motel after experiencing car troubles in the middle of nowhere and cannot call for help. But this place is giving you the creeps. Something doesn’t feel right. Your group tries to leave the room, but the doorknob falls off – and for some reason, you feel like it wasn’t an accident. You try to force your way out, but to no luck. You are trapped inside. Can you find a different way out or will you and your friends be trapped forever?”
Creepy? Well, I’m telling you: Creepy is a word you won’t understand until you’re actually inside the room. What with the air, the sound effects, and the secrecies that envelope the surroundings…
And when you do try Room 13, and you rush to get out before your 45-minute time limit expires, you’ll definitely know the real definition of frustrating. Yes, you may not need the thesaurus next time. Your experience is enough to describe it in your own words.
Comparing to the other escape rooms of Break Out Philippines – the Adarna’s Lair and the Prison Room (read about them here!) – Room 13 is a three-star room in terms of difficulty level. The team decided to create Room 13 for those looking for an average level of mind games. Even though it’s the “average level”, however, don’t underestimate it.
We were lucky to be invited as one of those first groups to try out this new room, and of course, I won’t spoil you with the other details. Just head on to Break Out Philippines at Paragon Plaza and go try it for yourselves. What I can say, though, is that it’s SUPER FUN, COOL, EXCITING, ENJOYABLE, AMUSING, AMAZING and THRILLING! You’ll get to unleash your inner detectives and solve the puzzles and riddles to break out of the room and emerge as Break Out Legends.
What’s funny about our experience is that we scrambled for the last clues to get out because our time was running out! There was panic and alarm as the last minute came, but we did it (*mimicking Kim Chui:* Isn’t amazing?! Isn’t it surprising?!)! I’m telling you: 44 minutes to calm and break out is no easy feat. Haha.

PLAN. Strategize with the whole team. Remember, it’s important to listen to each other. No idea should be wasted. Every move is a great contribution. Assign tasks properly and coordinate with one another.
SOLVE. Don’t get too overwhelmed by the seemingly frustrating mysteries you need to solve. Focus. As what we believe, Keep Calm and Rock On. Everything will fall into place – trust me. Collaborate your great brains a la Voltes V.
ESCAPE. As the song goes, “together we stand, divided we fall.” Get inside the room together and don’t leave anyone from your group behind …or a part of anyone’s body: a finger, a leg or an ear, or all. Nah, again, just kidding. Once you open the door to freedom, scream your hearts out and declare your success.
