Boy Who Went Missing Last Year Finally Found!

 

Yesterday, we posted a story about Bastie, the young boy who went missing last year. His story was spread on social media by his mother May Quizon, who continuously looked for her son even if luck was against her. Coincidentally, her son was found last night!

The story was also shared by Bastie’s mom on Facebook, who wrote:

 

I have found Bastie earlier at the RSCC in Quezon City with the help of Jackie and Mercy, they are social workers for DSWD. I will be going to the mayor’s office tomorrow to have Bastie’s release papers processed.

 

Bastie’s mom didn’t reveal how he was found, but the most important is that he is back!

Last August, Bastie went missing after he and a companion went missing in their subdivision in Pasay City. Earlier this year, he was seen with a group of Badjao kids and two adults at a bus terminal begging for money and food. She pleaded on the Dear Mayor Calixto of Pasay Facebook page, the official page of the mayor where citizens can communicate with the leader, to share the post.

We’re so glad he’s back!
