The BEDAN DANCE THEATRE, an accredited and official organization of the College of Arts and Sciences in San Beda College Manila, is known to have trained and enhanced the God-given talents of our members in different fields of dancing, producing some of the nation’s best performers. Committed to achieving our goals for our organization, we offer varied events and activities both for San Beda and the Dance community, in showing our passion for dance to the world by reaching a holistic growth towards our fullest potentials despite our differences at the same time uplifting our Benedictine values.
BODYWARS is an inter school event that gathers the most creative and passionate individuals to represent and bring honor to their respective alma maters in a clash of talent and creativity. This event unifies the Dance community in support of their school’s dance teams who are vying for the coveted championship title that deems them and their school the best among the vast multitude of talents that the dance scene has to offer. The Bedan Dance Theatre takes pride in fostering creativity, passion, competitiveness, competence and camaraderie among its participants in line with San Beda’s own Mission, Vision and Benedictine Hallmarks. This event is annually held and hosted by the organization to showcase the institutions talented roster of students as well as forge and fortify linkages with the dance community to enrich their collegiate learning experience through the extracurricular medium that is dance.
Now on its 28th year program run of BODYWARS: Resurgence, an annual inter-school dance competition hosted by the Bedan Dance Theatre, is an event that has become traditional event in San Beda College, which last year started a jam-packed students of San Beda with over a one thousand five hundred (1,500pax). This year we aim to take it to the step higher and invigorate the student body to perform their hearts out with the passion and tenacity of a true blooded lion at San Beda College, on Saturday, January 30, 2015 at San Beda College Manila, MVP Gymnasium.
