BlackBerry powers the warning system on the future of motorcycling

At Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020, Damon Motorcycles took the wraps off its new Hypersport bike. The electronic bike is a veritable speed demon with a top speed of 200 mph and a 200-plus mile range. It has a price tag that starts at $24,995 (around P1.3 million) before electric tax credits and incentives.

At CES 2020, guests were allowed to take the bike for a spin through the VR Interactive Experience.

The bike’s advanced warning system called CoPilot 360 may not be as semi-autonomous as that of Tesla’s Autopilot, but it provides a full overview of the rider’s surroundings using BlackBerry sensors, cameras, and radar. Apparently, BlackBerry, which we know as a mobile phone brand, is taking a dip into motoring. A front screen displays the road and even shows what’s behind the motorcycle.
