“Black Mirror” to be Turned into a Series of Books

Black Mirror Books

Fans of Black Mirror, we have great news for you: the much-loved series about the dangers of technologies is going to be turned into a series of books!

The news was announced by show creator Charlie Brooker, who tweeted, “We’re pleased to announce Black Mirror will soon be available in high-tech ‘paper’ format.”

He added, “All-new Black Mirror stories from exciting authors – that’s a joyous prospect. Apparently, you just have to glance at some sort of ‘ink code’ printed on paper and images and sounds magically appear in your head, enacting the story. Sounds far-fetched to me, but we’ll see.

The best part is that the books will feature new stories, and will be written by established names in literature.

There will be three books: two will come out in 2018 while the last one will be released in 2019.

Black Mirror is an anthology series with each episode its own self-contained cast and plot. They often circle around dark or satirical themes in an alternative present or the near future, with references to new technologies. The show has received critical and fan acclaim.

Its fourth season is expected to hit Netflix later this year and will feature a comedy, a crime thriller, and an “indie” drama.

One of the episodes will be directed by Jodie Foster.
