Jan Di posted online about her experience lately in a convenience store in NAIA terminal 3. While she was in line to pay at the cashier she overheard the customer in front of her that there was a dispute with the payment. The customer said that she has given a certain amount to the cashier but the cashier said otherwise. She then asked to see the CCTV to prove that the customer gave the said amount instead of what the cashier was claiming but she just let it go and paid again.
Jan was next in line and when it was her turn to pay she had a bill of Php 27.00 and paid Php 1000.00 because that was the only cash she had left. They asked for Php 2.00 which she did. She claims the cashier did not give her the receipt initially and counted the change in front of her. When she got her change which was supposed to be Php 970.00, she found that the change that was given to her was Php 770.00. She immediately asked for the receipt and the cashier claims that they gave her a change of Php 970 instead of Php 770. Jan knew that she was right because she did not have any other cash left.
When she saw the receipt, they did not punch in the Php 1000.00 bill. It was left at Php 0.00
When she got out of the convenience store, a man from NAIA told her that she should fight for what she thought was correct because he knew that it was a modus and others were also victimized. She went back in after a few hours to take photos of the two cashiers.

Just want to share my experience sa NAIA TERMINAL 3.
Around 4am kanina, while waiting na makapasok ang papa ko sa passenger’s area ng terminal, i decided to have a coffee. I was strolling around to find a store then i decided to go to the convenience store since konti lang ang tao and makakaupo ako. So after ko makapili ng coffee and donut, pumila ako. I heard a lady complaining kay short hair cashier, let’s call her si cashier 1.
Customer: hindi. Miss, sure ako 200 ang pera ko! Kung gusto mo icheck natin ang cctv camera para magkaalaman tayo!
Cashier1: mam, 100 lang po ang binigay niyo!
Customer: Miss sigurado ako! Promise! Hindi ako nangdadaya! Kahit silipin pa natin ang cctv!
Cashier1: mam, promise rin po!!
Probably tumagal ng 3mins yung discussion nila mula nung narinig ko sila. Binigay naman ni cashier1 ang tamang sukli na may pailing iling pa! After nun lumabas na si customer. Then, sumabat si cashier na nakapuyod ang hair, let’s call her si cashier 2.
Cashier 2: magkano ba binigay nun?!
Cashier 1: 100! Sabi niya 200 daw!
Cashier 2: dapat sinilip mo cctv!
Cashier 1: eh sino magpi play, ikaw?
Cashier 2: …….
At sumabat ang isang taga airport na lalaki: dapat di ka nagpatalo! Modus yun eh!
Napataas kilay ko! Parang, duh..!! So it’s my turn to pay.. At mukhang tinadhana kami ni cashier 1.. I handed her 1,000 peso bill dahil wala akong ibang cash and para mabaryahan talaga pera ko. Double check ko pa dahil baka kako sabihin eh 100 binigay ko..
Cashier 1: mam, may 2 pesos po kayo?
I gave her 2 pesos. So nag punch sya sa kanyang machine. Then she gave me my change. Note, walang resibong inabot kahit may naprint na receipt. And hindi rin binilang ang money sa harap ko. So pag abot niya, binilang ko. And yung total na amount eh 770 (7 na 100 bills, 50 bill and 20 bill). My total bill is 27.00 + 5 para daw sa cup na hindi naka reflect sa receipt! So, my change should be 970! Take note, 200 ang kulang!!
Me: miss, how much total bill ko?
Cashier 1: 27 po plus 5 para sa cup kaya humingi po ako ng 2 pesos.
Me: 770 lang binigay mo.
Cashier 1: mam, 970 po yan.
Me: oh cmon! 770 lang to! (Nag init dugo ko agad dahil naalala ko ang ginawa niya dun sa isang customer. And hindi nga ako nagkamali na something fishy rin akong maeexperience)
Cashier 1: mam, check niyo po. 970 po yan!
Me: check my wallet! (Confident ako dahil wala akong ibang bills na dala. Sabay lapag ko sa counter ang wallet, cp, at ung pinamili ko.) U can check my wallet if u want! Wag mo akong itutulad dun sa isang customer ha!
Cashier 1: (with pagdadabog na binuksan ang kaha niya. Sabay abot ng 200 sa akin).
Me: can i have my receipt?! Para madouble check ko!
Sabay hanap niya sa mga receipts na nakatambak lang sa kaha dahil di niya binibigay sa mga customers. So i double check my receipt.
Me: miss, next time ha magbigay kayo ng resibo! At bilangin niyo sa harap ng customer niyo ang sukli! Hindi yung ganito at sasabihin niyong tama sukli niyo! Alam ko na yang mga modus niyo! I doubt na hindi niyo to gawain!
Cashier 1: ok mam!
Lumabas ako sa store and nag coffee. Then i heard na naman yung epal na taga airport, “dapat yung mga ganun, di kayo nagpapatalo! Mga modus lang nila yun!” Sinilip ko ulit sila sa loob and tiningnan ako ni cashier 2. Sa loob loob ko, “mag antay kayo at masasampulan kayo sa akin!”
After ko kumain ng donut at uminom ng coffee, bumalik ako sa loob dahil di ko sila makunan ng maganda gandang picture mula sa labas. So ikot ikot ako sa loob para kumuha ng magandang posisyon. And syempre, kumuha ng water para makalapit ako sa counter. At dahil busy si cashier 1, kay cashier 2 ako pumila.
Me: miss, kukunan ko lang kayo ha. Para maishare ko experience ko dito.
Cashier 2: mam, bakit po? Bawal po yan ah! Wala naman kaming ginawang masama!
Me: eh bakit ka natatakot? Isishare ko lang naman experience ko eh. Tsaka miss, i doubt na hindi niyo alam to.
So i took some photos. At etong si cashier 1 ay todo takip ng mukha! So lalo ko syang di tinantanan!
Cashier 1: mam, bawal yang ginagawa niyo!
Me: ah ganun ba? Eh yung kaninang ginawa mo??
Tahimik sila pareho habang todo iwas etong si cashier 1!
So guys, ingat kayo kay cashier 1! And make sure to double check your change before leaving the counter. Better if u count ur money sa harap nila!
