Christmas movies are meant to be fun, light, and heartwarming, not scary. Even The Grinch had a touch of sweetness under the scary look of the titular creature. But for Better Watch Out, that may not be the case.
The upcoming Christmas film breaks tradition by being a thriller. In the film, a group of intruders breaks into a home with a babysitter and her 12 year old charge. Ashley, the babysitter, defends the boy Luke to the best of her abilities, until she realizes that this is not your run off the mill invasion. The synopsis is pretty vague but it does pique our curiosity.

The film stars Olivia DeJonge as Ashley, Levi Miller as Luke, Ed Oxenbould, Dacre Montgomery, Aleks Mikic, Patrick Warburton, and Virginia Madsen. It is directed by Chris Peckover and written by Peckover and Zack Kahn.
Strangely, the film will premiere on October 6, 2017.
