When In Manila, an item in one’s wishlist is to see an “unidentified flying object” on the skyscrapers of the Metro. May it be an alien spaceship, a lit-up orange saucer or a flying human, a sight like that is just super awesome!
And on the 7th of June, 2013, the Pacific Licensing Studio gave us a sneak peek and opened an exhibit in the SM Mall of Asia for one of the most anticipated movies of 2013, The Man of Steel: Defender of Earth.

At around 6:30 in the evening, Show Suzuki, the host, greeted the audience within the Mall of Asia Atrium, and a trailer of the Man of Steel: Defender of Earth (premiering on June 12) kicked-off the event giving us goosebumps in the process.

To add some spice of fashion, Penshoppe, one of the sponsors of the media launch, presented its PENSHOPPE x MAN OF STEEL line collection featuring an urban street-inspired set of apparel.
Mr. Azrael Coladilla from ToyCon Philippines, shared his thoughts on the upcoming “super” movie and invited us to be part of the 12th ToyCon Philippines 2013 on June 15-17, 2013, which will showcase various memorabilias, toys, collectibles and all other awesome items, and of course, Superman items will be one of its highlights.
The event superbly ended with the raffling of 4 Superman-inspired Axis watches and one brand-new DeVant LCD TV.
The reboot of the Superman franchise stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, wearing the large “S”-donned blue suit. Lois Lane is “refreshed” as well, and that she will be embodied by Amy Adams, the lead princess of the Disney film Enchanted. Russel Crowe, who recently starred in the award-winning Les Miserables, plays the role of Superman’s biological father, Jor-El. Lastly, General Zod, the main Kryptonian general antagonist, is played by Michael Shannon.
The Man of Steel is directed by Zack Snyder (300 and Watchmen), produced by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight), and written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight Legend). Expect the same brand of action you’ve seen in the Dark Knight trilogy in this new movie for the Justice League red-blue-and yellow man (hints at the possible joint film in the near future perhaps?).
