Finding a place that serves good buffalo chicken wings is as difficult as finding a smart and honest politician (yes I had to go there)! But thanks to this new place by Ortigas Avenue, we’re all saved from the imminent doom of never being able to satisfy the need for good buffalo wings in Manila!
Sunrise Buckets is a place with an amazing atmosphere, great service, friendly faces and best of all, YUMMY BUFFALO WINGS!
I saw some pictures online showcasing the Sunrise Bucket Buffalo Wings and it’s been burned to the back of my mind ever since. I had to make time to satisfy my wing craving and every passing day of not being able to do so was literally burning a hole in my soul!
Finally, I was able to swing by this fine feathered joint and it did not disappoint!
The first thing you’ll notice is the beach theme that relaxes your senses. The second thing you’ll notice is the impressive selection of buffalo chicken wings with different spices, recipes and specialties. Finally, you’ll notice that this place definitely has the potential to be THE place to hang when in need of life’s basic necessities: booze and wings.
We tried the Sunrise Buckets Original Recipe for the buffalo wings, but it was definitely a tough choice as the Smokin BBQ Wings, Jack Daniel Glazed Wings, Garlic Parmesan Wings and all the other menu items seemed to be screaming my name!
The wings were great! Along with a nice side of Cheesy Gravy Fries, my tummy did not make any more begging sounds throughout the night. Although I do wish they had some Ranch Dressing, my favorite dip for these American / Canadian inspired munchies.

Once you enter Sunrise Buckets you will be greeted by a cheerful and bubbly beach-toned staff, hear Bob Marley music playing in the background with sunset type lighting. A Flat Screen TV plays surfers showing off their exhibitions, a merchandise area with different memorabilia and souvenirs for beach and surfer lovers to the well laid out wooden chairs that extends outdoors and bar area with a surfboard countertop. All these will surely make Sunrise Buckets customers feel warped in a relaxing beach-y environment.
Sunrise Buckets was inspired by the chef owners’ adventures in Miami,Florida, Bondi Beach Sydney Australia, and Vancouver, Canada. They indulged in buffalo wings while exploring different beaches in their travels. Once back home,they constantly craved for buffalo wings in their travels but could not find any restaurant which had the same authentic taste. They decided to take matters into their own hands and experimented with the recipe until Sunrise Original Sauce was perfected. After joining their first bazar and constantly being encouraged by customers to open a restaurant, the sisters finally opened their first branch that offers Authentic Real American Mouthwatering Buffalo wings blended with a beach-y atmosphere.
