Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite movies of 2001. I still remember how I obsessed over the soundtrack for weeks on end after first watching it, singing every song in it to the dismay of my family and friends.
I fell in love with the storyline; discovered old music I had never heard before; dropped my jaw at the colours, the set, the costumes and the cast; and developed a crush on Ewan McGregor almost instantly.
Well, it looks like Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge will be making a stage debut soon! It will be produced by Global Creatures and I cannot wait to see glimpses of what the stage will look. It is sure to be a grand affair!
Of course, I’m also hoping that it will reach Philippine shores one day. A girl can dream, right? 🙂
