The students of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Arts Management Program are proud to present, Balik Tutog, a concert that mixes indigenous and contemporary Filipino music. Daluyong, a band made up of Students from UP College of Music and Music Production of Benilde will be playing songs from the 90’s to early 2000’s including songs by The Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Neocolours and other great bands of the period at the Black Box of Benilde’s School of Design and Arts, 950 Pablo Ocampo Street., Malate, Manila, on March 20, 2015 at 7PM.

The members of Daluyong have been thoroughly educated in all kinds of Philippine indigenous music and have been part of local and international performances. In their performance, traditions of indigenous music will be decontextualized with its mix with contemporary music. Audiences will experience a new yet nostalgic music with songs that throwback to old school alternative OPM played differently from how they remember it. Spaceman, a band from the Music Production Program of Benilde will be opening for the show and playing songs in line with the show’s theme as well.

This event promotes indigenous and contemporary OPM to the present generation. These two genres of music are relevant in our culture, thus it must be kept alive and given due importance in society.

Tickets are available at 150php each. For more inquiries feel free to contact Paige Espiritu +639266201195 or email baliktugtog@gmail.com.
