WHEN IN MANILA, we always want something big. During Christmas we tend to go for the biggest gift with the biggest bow first. Same with food, we tend to go for restaurants that serve impossibly huge portions. But through the years we have learned that the big ones aren’t necessarily the best ones because sometimes the best ones are the ones that come in small packages.
Baked by Anita is an online cupcakery that sells some of the most delicious cupcakes I’ve ever tasted. Though the cupcakes of Baked by Anita are smaller than the ones we are used to, brace yourselves because I’m telling you When In Manila readers, a cupcake from Baked by Anita is a thousand times better than the huge ones we see. This one of a kind Yema Cupcake from Baked by Anita is so heavenly good. The whip on top has just the right amount of sweetness and the yema custard sandwiched between two lumps of cake—perfect!
No cupcake store is ever complete without the classic Red Velvet. Baked by Anita’s Red Velvet is fantastic. And the red heart on top, so cute!
Growing up, I’ve always been the chocolate kid rather than the strawberry gal. But I’ve converted ever since I bit into this Roasted Strawberry Cupcake from Baked by Anita. I love the richness of the cake and the strawberry aroma of the whip on top.
I’m pretty sure that everyone in the world except for the veggie peeps is in love with anything bacon. I know I am. So it’s no surprise that I would fall for Baked by Anita’s Candied Bacon Cupcake! I love how the cake is oozing with bacon bits inside. Perfect for the bacon lovers out there!
While exotic flavored cupcakes never fail to catch my attention, classic cupcakes like the Vanilla still amazes me. Baked by Anita’s Vanilla cupcake is one of my favorite flavors among the bunch. I love the mild sweetness of the cupcake and the rainbow sprinkles oozing inside.
While shoes and cute tops are my current loves, chocolate will forever be the first it that made my heart skip a beat. This Peanut Butter and Banana Cupcake from Baked by Anita is oh so sinfully good! My mouth drools with just the thought of this awesome cuppie!
