AWW: This customer received a sweet surprise from a fast food delivery, and we’re touched

Sometimes, all you need is a pick-me-up when you’re down.

Food can be a quick answer to that – and for Catalina, that was no question.

When she found out that she was not offered an admission to the University of the Philippines, she was devastated. To make herself feel better, she ordered some food from a popular fast food chain and had a special request for a “comforting note” when she placed her order online.

Little did she know that the restaurant had more surprises in store for her.

“I ordered food because I wanted some comfort after finding out I hadn’t passed the UPCAT. I ordered online and since I was feeling really down, I asked for a comforting note to be included with my order under special requests,” she shares to WHEN IN MANILA.

It reads:

Hi! This is for you!!! I hope this will make you feel better.

J.K. Rowling got rejected 12 times before she finally wrote and published Harry Potter.

Beyonce had to make hundreds of songs to get “Halo”.

The greatest successes come from having the freedom to fail. Kaya mo ‘yan!

“When I got my order I was surprised to find out that there was not only one note, but SIX attached to the bag.”

She shares that an employee from the branch also texted her words of encouragement and made her “feel really good”.

“I felt good because complete strangers decided to go the extra mile for me just to make me feel better. I really felt the love. I feel like there’s always so much negative news and noise around us that I don’t really see things like this anymore. In the grand scheme of things, it may seem like a pretty small gesture; but it means the world to me.

For those feeling down or discouraged, especially about college entrance tests: It’s not the end of the world. Feel sad, feel bad, that’s healthy and normal. Just know that there are other ways to get into a college and that God always has a plan for you.

Don’t give up and keep on working because it will all pay off in the end.”
