Attend Potions Class, Learn Spells, and Meet Fellow Potterheads at The Great Hogwarts Experience

“Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.”

If you immediately recognize this line without so much as a bat of an eye, then you better read up because this one’s for us Potterheads! It’s 19 years later. Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s kids have boarded the Hogwarts Express and yet we’re all still here keeping the magic alive. No matter how nice it is to hear J.K. Rowling tell us that we did get our Hogwarts letters and went with Harry and the gang in every adventure, I know we all still want to have the actual magic to experience. Heading over to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida or in Japan would be a dream, but some of us may not have the time or resources. So here’s Portkey Events, Plato, Privatus, and Pineapple Lab making all of our Hogwarts dreams come true!

HP Sorting hat

Get your trunks ready and mount your brooms over to Pineapple Lab this October 28 & 29 for your two special days at Hogwarts! You’ll get to go to classes like Defence Against the Dark Arts and Divination with awesome Hogwarts Professors. The program is open to kids and kids-at-heart, but the Potions class is for adults only since you’ll be mixing your very own concoctions (read: alcoholic potions!) and just hope Professor Snape gives you full marks.

HP Skele Gro

Here’s Skele-gro, the bone regeneration drink Harry had when the phony Professor Lockhart made his bones disappear. Madam Pomfrey says it’s painful to regrow your bones, but this delightful drink is fruity good!

HP Butterbeer

What’s a Hogwarts experience without Butterbeer?? I tried looking for Madam Rosmerta at the bar but she must’ve been busy, but this drink does make you feel all warm and fuzzy like how Harry described it.

All the spell practicing and dueling is sure to make you hungry, but it’s great to get your appetite worked up because for supper at the Great Hall, an 8-course meal is waiting for you! Dishes like Kreacher’s Onion Soup, Molly’s Meat Pie, Hagrid’s Roasted Vegetables, and Ron Weasley Roast Chicken are just some of the delicious food you can have. You’ll definitely get the magical vibes sitting at the long tables with your fellow Potterheads and picture yourself like a legit Hogwarts student. While you’re dining, there are floating candles above your head and clips from all the Harry Potter movies playing on screen!

HP Roast

HP Meat Pie1

Molly’s Meat Pie

HP Snitch

Snitch Cream Puffs and Cauldron Brownies

While this is not the first time somebody’s attempted to recreate the magic, I can honestly say that this is one of the more organized and well thought out Harry Potter projects here in Manila. You can just tell how everybody in the team is passionate about engaging the participants to enjoy themselves and have a good time. It’s a really great experience to study the lore of the Wizarding World and do it with people who are also interested in keeping the fandom alive.

HP Great Hall

Potterheads enjoy their supper at one of the long tables in the Great Hall, complete with floating candles and the House Banners overhead.

HP Head Girl

The Head Girl, from Gryffindor, teaches her fellow Hogwarts students how to duel using offensive and defensive spells.

Well Potterheads, I guess you know what you’ll be doing this Halloween.  I know I do! No matter how old we get or how young we wish we still were, Hogwarts will always welcome us back.  Don’t feel ashamed for wanting to keep the magic alive, embrace the world J.K. Rowling has given us and bring the magic to more people!

How do you keep the Harry Potter magic alive?  Tell us in the comments!
