Ateneo ENterteynment para sa TAo, Bayan, LAnsangan, at DiyOs (ENTABLADO) stages another twin bill production entitled “APIR, DISAPIR!” Directed by Vix La Victoria and Third Villarey, the production title portrays a word play for oppression (pang-aapi) which can be seen from the contrast of each play’s theme.

The first play, Paraisong Parisukat by Orlando Nadres, is set in a small stockroom of Mirasol Shoes which holds  the owner, long-time employees who want to stay in the workplace, and a newcomer who dreams bigger than being confined in the workplace, until problems came their way and challenged their ambitions.

Ang Bayot, ang Meranao, at ang Habal-habal sa Isang Nakababagot na Paghihinay sa Kanto ng Lanao Del Norte by Rogelio Braga, the second play, presents a dialogue between a homosexual and a Muslim, which tackles the influence of history and culture of two marginalized communities and the different ways in which they experience discrimination.

The show runs from August 5 to 9, and August 12 to 16, 7 p.m., August 9 and 16, 2 p.m., at the Rizal Mini Theater, G/F Faber Hall, Ateneo de Manila University.  For inquiries and ticket reservations, please contact Marlowe Baltazar (09255009869) or visit facebook.com/ Enta32ApirDisapir for more details.
