No other school (of Medicine and Public Health) does it the way we do.

Join us as we celebrate ASMPH Week this coming September 20-27! It’s time to release your inner doctor.

For the formation of Health Sciences Majors, we are holding the very first Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH) Week. This event, in partnership with ASMPH will aim to strengthen the relationship among Health Sciences Majors and ASMPH Students as Health Sciences majors often proceed to medicine at ASMPH. At the same time, it will showcase ASMPH as a medical school that goes beyond the usual as it focuses on a holistic learning process. There will be different activities throughout the week.

The ASMPH Week Sportsfest aims to foster lasting friendships with the organization’s members and the medical students of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. Sports such as Ultimate Frisbee, Futsal, Basketball and Volleyball will be played the whole day, including a Zumba class led by the Ateneo Medical Dance Group.

The ASMPH talks aims to shed some light about what The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health is all about. You will get the chance to listen to our speakers, Doctor Jun Cuenca, Keisha Duyongco, Carlo Lenon and Joseph Siatan about various concerns regarding ASMPH such as admissions, scholarships, student life, and many more! Get the chance to finally ask the questions that will help clarify and lingering concerns you might have about the school! Discover what it takes to be a part of something bigger and what it takes to be a part of the ASMPH community.

The ASMPH Tour will be held on September 27, Saturday, from 1-5 PM at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health in Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City. This is a tour inside the ASMPH Building to acquaint the participants on the facilities and equipment they have. Moreover, it will help them know the school’s curriculum and its students’ lives with the different activities that will be facilitated by both the ASMPH and HSS volunteers.

The Kapihan party is a caffeine-induced(something HSS and ASMPH students have in common at late nights) culminating night for ASMPH week which will be held in Third District Coffee Shop. This is where everything is tied up together by showing a recap of all the events that occurred during the entire week. the Health Sciences Society and the ASMPH community will have the opportunity to socialize and get to know each other over good coffee, good music and good company.

The ASMPH Week Exhibit is an initiative that aims to better acquaint aspiring doctors with Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health and its facets for academic, spiritual, extracurricular, and social growth. It features information concerning an overview of ASMPH, its advocacies, the dual degree program, the student organization, and the insights of those currently on the path to becoming “Doctors of the Future.” The exhibit also reserves an area for individuals interested in a medical career to stimulate an operation in the emergency room with iPads installed with “Amateur Surgeon.” Finally, a booth, equipped with props such as lab coats and stethoscopes, serves as a set for a photoshoot in order to find the “Hottest Doctor” which will be determined by the votes of the majority.
