AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015: A Photo Diary Roundup

Last weekend, geeks gathered and celebrated at the first international comic convention held in Manila — the AsiaPOP Comicon 2015! Three days of geeky goodness that surprisingly attracted a good number of attendees despite a number of hitches. Overall, I can say that the event was a success and everyone had fun and enjoyed what APCC offered. The geek community is actually looking forward to APCC 2016!!

Here are some snaps from the APCC weekend:

The media got the chance to interview celebrity guests Colton Haynes (Arsenal from Arrow), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei from Game of Thrones), Jeremy Shada (Voice of Finn from Adventure Time), and the Vision himself, Paul Bettany.

And that’s a wrap! APCC still has a lot of room for improvements, but it definitely set the bar high for conventions here in the Philippines and we hope that more conventions of this calibre will hit the PH shores soon.

The 3-day geeky affair got me all worn out — from catching the panels (too bad we missed the Captain America 3: Civil War trailer) to fangirling over the international guests, going through the interactive booths, and spending time with other con-goers. However, everyone went home with a very happy geeky heart, so cheers to the entire AsiaPOP Comicon team! Here’s hoping you guys will bring in more international guests next year and more activities for the con-goers to enjoy!
