Artistic weekends theater workshops with PETA

When In Manila, I always watch musical plays, I am missing Broadway and we Filipinos are already world class performers so spending time watching at the theater  I would say is, bravo!.

Now, wanting to unleash the inner stage actor in me and you and set yourself free from the stresses of everyday work? Enrolling in a theater workshop is the way to go. I am planning my kids to have these workshops and they are excited. Oh! they really like to become stars.

This October, little artistic footprints lead to the Philippine Educational Theater Association, Inc. (PETA) theater center for the return of workshop weekends! PETA has designed a way to fit theater workshops into the schedules of students and professionals.

The courses that will be offered are Basic Acting, Theater Arts I, and Creative Musical Theater I. The workshop consists of nine sessions with six hours each. All sessions fall on Saturdays (October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) and a Sunday (December 1, 2013). The last two sessions will be allotted for a Technical Dress Rehearsal and a talent showcase, as part of the culmination.

Each course incorporates PETA‘s Integrated Theater Arts Approach, which blends the five different disciplines in theater — creative drama, body movement and dance, creative sound and music, creative writing and visual arts.
