Artesania MNL Cafe: Where Art and Food Merge Beautifully

We’ve seen latte art before. Your favorite barista can easily whip one up at your usual coffee shop. However, this newly-opened cafe in Maginhawa showcases art in a different form — in a more upfront and more real way, literally breathing life into the whole room. Artesania MNL is a haven for art lovers, and it’s hard not to fall in love with it at first sight.

Artesania MNL

Artesania MNL was born in mid-2016 with the aim of creating a space where artists and wannabes can lounge and chill while finishing their masterpieces or learning a thing or two about art itself through readily available art materials inside the cafe. Soon enough, as word about the shop spread and people flocked to get their hands colorfully dirty, they opened workshops conducted by invited artists for guests to enjoy.

And what a place to be indeed! Inside the four walls, you can find so much inspiration to start painting or drawing. Every nook is Instagrammable with chalk letterings written on the side, artworks on display, and Artesania’s artistic take on food!

Nachos (P245)

Start with the colorful mess that is their Nachos – we know you’ll love ’em. Down them with their signature fruity juices and teas like the Strawberry Lychee Tea, Watermelon Lychee and Peach Mango Tea (P105)!

Potato Eaters (P185)

You can also indulge your inner potato lover with fries and four flavored dips.

Midsummer Night’s Dream (P245)

If you want to keep things light and healthy, though, you can enjoy their salads instead! I’m not much of a salad eater; but the mix of greens, fruits and dressing made theirs a total winner! The Midsummer Night’s Dream has an interesting tang thanks to its honey mustard dressing, which went well with the sweetness of the mangoes and grapes. The crunch the pili nuts give is an added twist!

The Thinker (P245)

Another fave is The Thinker, which is loaded with ingredients that helps you become more creative. It’s the perfect partner to staring at your canvas until you put the first stroke of color in it. Plus, it’s so good, you’ll surely finish it all in no time (yay to more creative juices!).
