In life, there is no all-in-one manual that we can strictly refer to; there is no step-by-step process on how we should handle things, nor is there a cheat sheet where we can find definite answers to every problem we encounter. Often, life calls for us to be resourceful, or as how we say it when in Manila, “dapat marunong kang dumiskarte (just wing it)”.
Admittedly, there comes a point in our lives where we find ourselves on the verge of burning out, almost as if all the fighting we’ve done will seemingly lead us to dead ends. Despite crowded streets and reports of global overpopulation, we ironically feel strangely isolated from it all. Feeling helpless, our souls tend to surrender to this limbo-like confusion, leading us to an unfeeling state.
Believing that the experience of the Divine is not exclusive to one particular religion, Kanchan Sadhwani conducts angel card readings to help people proceed with lives. At first, I did not really know what to expect in the “angel card reading” I was going to since it was my first time to attend an event like this one. A part of me was quite nervous because I was uncertain of I what wanted to hear. However, Kanchan had a peaceful aura that gently calmed the tremors of the soul. Contrary to what others may think what an angel card reader is supposed to be, she doesn’t proclaim nor impose anything about the future. Rather, she tells you what your guardian angel wants you to hear.
Due to the hustle and bustle of daily life, we tend to get distracted and lose touch with our inner selves. Our guardian angels are always there to guide us, yet sometimes we fail to hear them. We become less and less intuitive. Angel card reading will bring back your attention to that inner voice. It will spark a thought or an idea you have so been ignoring.
From our experience, after the angel card reading, we felt rejuvenated. It felt like I had long been hiding under the covers, thinking I was alone in the dark and someone suddenly just pulled the covers out and revealed to me that life is not as dark as I perceived it to be, albeit its imperfections and difficulties. I was reminded that what matters most is our disposition towards any situation. That, plus faith (some would call it optimism), will get us through. Sometimes, all it takes is a little nudge from someone.
Kanchan admits that what she does goes beyond logic; it is not something that science can explain. She shares that the reason why she does it is because this modality of healing has worked for her. You would be surprised what she has been through. She attributes her survival from aneurysm, brain hemorrhage, umbilical hernia, eye cataract, and breast cancer, to her faith.
