When in Manila, can you be Ang Galing and help make the lives of children from marginalized communities better and brighter?

Ang Galing is the weekly literacy program of ATD Fourth World Philippines, usually held on Saturdays. It focuses on children six years and above who have serious difficulties in basic reading and writing (Tagalog). Some children go to school (regularly and irregularly), others are not at all enrolled. BUT all are very eager to learn!

Ang Galing wants to reinforce the self-confidence of these children. Through one-on-one sessions the program encourages every improvement no matter how small. Therefore, Ang Galing! 😀

Volunteers are needed! You don’t have to be a teacher, but teacher qualities are welcome. According to ATD, an ‘Ang Galing! “titser” is patient, encouraging, positive and creative.
