Amazing Aloha Burger is Back at Jollibee: Anthony Bourdain and Social Media Fuels Return

Your social media screams and requests were heard! Now, Jollibee has delivered!

I’m proud to announce that today, I got to be part of the first group in the Philippines to hear the news, and taste the return, of the Amazing Aloha Burger at Jollibee!

I remember moving back to the Philippines in around 2010, going to Jollibee and having this scene unfold:

Vince: “One Amazing Aloha Burger please.”

Jollibee staff: “Sir…. sorry, matagal na pong wala yun Aloha Burger” (Sir, sorry but the Aloha Burger has not been available for a long time)

Vince: “NNNNOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! YOU MONSTERS!!!!!”

OK, maybe it didn’t happen exactly like that, but that was pretty close.

It seemed the Jollibee Aloha Burger is only available in the Philippines for seasonal times and Jollibee has not had it here since 2009.

Perhaps it was this recent video on CNN of celebrity foodie Anthony Bourdain visiting a Jollibee in Los Angeles that got people reminiscing on this pineapple rich burger!

Or perhaps is was the cries of Filipinos from Social Media Pages like this:

Either way, Anthony Bourdain or Social Media, it has resulted in this: The Amazing Aloha Burger is BACK in the Philippines!
