Commemorating its foundation on the 21st of February, 1999, the University of the Philippines Materials Science Society (UP MSS) has been traditionally celebrating its anniversary through a series of week-long events. Now towards its 20th year, UP MSS will come through with a bigger and grander celebration with MSS Month, which will feature its prime events such as the MSS Exhibit, the MSS Flower Sale every Valentine’s Day, the MSS Anniversary Dinner, and the MSS Outreach.
This year, the organization kicks off its 20th anniversary with its annual Benefit Concert entitled “ALITAPTAP: Good Music for a Good Cause.” The event is a charity concert in benefit of the Botongan Day Care Center and the 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid Foundation.
ALITAPTAP will be held on the 16th of November, 2018 at The Lounge, Tomas Morato, and will feature notable bands from inside and outside the UP community: Stella, Chino and Anton, Musicalyx, New Game+, Granny Lee, VSTHEWORLD, Amara, and Any Name’s Okay!
