#AlitaSequel
Manga doesn’t always translate into anime, and anime doesn’t always translate into live action. Alita:Battle Angel (originally known as “Gunm”) is by far the best adaptation of a manga and anime into film ever and deserves a sequel! We’re not giving you up either, Alita. For all that have seen something of a savior in Battle Angel, there are a few that would fight tooth and nail to make #AlitaSequel another chance of introducing you to the world. pic.twitter.com/FAZrbvjT9p

Alita: Battle Angel came from the 1990 manga called Battle Angel Alita. It is about a cyborg who must discover her past and fully realize what she’s capable of to protect the ones she loves.
The epic sci-fi film was produced by 20th Century Fox, which is now 20th Century Studios and owned by Disney. The franchise carries a hefty price tag due to the heavy use of CGI, especially with the lead character.
As of the moment, Disney already has a lot of profitable franchises such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. The company might be able to afford to take a risk on an Alita: Battle Angel sequel then, but for $200 million? Probably not.
