This year’s Global Village, themed Odyssey, is a one-day event that aims to promote social sustainability, world awareness, and cultural understanding by showcasing different cultures across the globe and celebrating diversity among people.

AIESEC in University of the Philippines Los Baños invites all UPLB students and nearby colleges and communities to this year’s Global Village themed Odyssey: “Brave the Rising Tides, Voyage Beyond Your Horizons” on October 18, 2017 at the Carabao Park, UPLB.

Odyssey is AIESEC in UPLB’s third Global Village. It is an event made to intrigue and persuade the youth to become world citizens through participating in an AIESEC exchange while simultaneously allowing the current and past Exchange Participants to introduce and share something about their countries, cultures and experiences. Exchange participants will have booths where they can showcase pictures, food, music, flags, and other items from their country of origin and their culture. The countries to be featured include Japan, China, South Korea, Greece, France, Mexico and many more.

Partners for this year’s Global Village include Hawk Bags, Belle de Jour Power Planner, Gifted.ph, Mystery Manila as well as its media partners: WhenInManila.com, ClickTheCity and RapplerX.

This Global Village will also feature a “Snacks and Souvenirs” booth serving food items/snacks, keychains, postcards, posters, and stickers that promote exchange and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event is free and open for everyone. Participants will have the chance to know more about AIESEC and how its cross-cultural exchanges impact the community.
