After brief shutdown, NAIA operations are back to normal

For those with flights to and from the airport, no need to worry — operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals are back to normal, according to news reports.

NAIA world's worst airport

The four airport terminals were shut down for two hours, from 1:45 to 3:45 AM today, with terminal access restricted to passengers and employees.

Following the brief shutdown, operations have been restored yet security remains at a high level. Passengers are advised to come in early and expect a heightened security process, while passes for well-wishers are currently suspended. Meanwhile, more airport police and Special Reaction forces have been deployed to secure the parking areas and checkpoints for more rigid inspection.
